Zero Degrees°C Jewelry ("Zero Degrees", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit zero-degrees.co or shop with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

What we collect
We collect personal data only as needed to operate our store and serve you. The categories include:
- Order data — name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, items purchased, payment confirmation (we do not store full card numbers).
- Account data if you create one — email, password (encrypted), order history.
- Communication data — messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok DM, or our contact form.
- Browsing data — pages viewed, items added to bag, device and browser type, IP address, session duration. Collected via cookies and standard web analytics.
- Marketing preferences — whether you have opted in to receive newsletters or campaign emails.
How we use it
We use your data to:
- Process and fulfil your orders, including arranging shipping and handling returns.
- Communicate with you about your order, respond to enquiries, and provide customer support.
- Send marketing communications, only when you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Improve the store experience — product display, navigation, checkout flow.
- Meet legal and tax obligations under Malaysian law.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the store, and only to the extent needed:
- Shopify Inc. — our e-commerce platform. Order, customer, and payment data is processed and stored on Shopify's infrastructure.
- Payment processors — Stripe, iPay88, GrabPay, and similar providers handle the payment transaction directly. We do not store full card details.
- Shipping providers — Pos Laju, DHL, FedEx, J&T Express, and similar carriers receive the shipping address and contact details needed to deliver your order.
- Marketing platforms — Meta (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok, and email tools (Shopify Email, Mailchimp) receive only the data needed to run advertising and communications you have opted in to. Aggregated and anonymised data may be used for ad targeting.
- Legal compliance — we may disclose data if required by Malaysian law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
Cross-border data transfers
Some service providers above (notably Shopify and Meta) store data on servers outside Malaysia. By using our store you consent to this transfer. We work only with providers that maintain reasonable data-protection standards comparable to PDPA requirements.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. As a guide:
- Order records: 7 years (required for Malaysian tax and accounting law).
- Marketing data: until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days.
- Account data: until you request deletion or the account becomes inactive for 24 months.
- Support correspondence: 2 years after the conversation ends.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw consent for processing (which may mean we can no longer serve you).
- Limit the processing of your data for marketing purposes.
- Request deletion, subject to our legal retention obligations.

Cookies
Our store uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your bag, keep you signed in, measure traffic, and run advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some parts of the store (notably checkout) may not work properly without them.
Children
Our store is intended for customers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We rely on Shopify's PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure for storage and payment processing. We use HTTPS site-wide. No system is fully immune from breach, but we take commercially reasonable steps to protect your data.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email (if you have an account) and announced on this page. Continued use of the store after a change means you accept the updated policy.
